Its position in the Waterfront allows patrons to enjoy breathtaking views of Table Mountain, as well as views over the water where you could catch a glimpse of some playful seals or yachts passing by on their way to the open ocean. The shaded deck is perfect for al fresco dining, while a slick and modern interior, with wall-to-wall windows is just as majestic. The effort made by this establishment is shown by their presence in many of the major annual awards for restaurants in Cape Town and South Africa. Den Anker received a gold medal for their winelist at the Diners Club Awards in 2007, and was also the runner up in the hotly contested fine dining section of the V&A Waterfront Restaurant Guide in the same year. They have also featured in Wine Magazine's Top 100 Restaurant five times, as well as the "Dine" Top 100 in 2007. |
